Welcome to the Museum of Religious Medals in Charleroi, a hidden treasure that invites you
to delve into the fascinating history of religious medals. Our museum offers a unique experience for al lovers of art, history and spirituality.
Our museum houses an exceptional collection of religious medals, bearing witness to
centuries of faith, devotion and artistic creativity. You wil have the opportunity to explore
exquisite antique medals, rare pieces and artistic masterpieces that tell the story of religion through the ages.
10,000 religious medals from al eras and all horizons, collected and studied over 15 years,
now make up the collection of the Pro Moneta association’s museum of religious medals, which continues to grow.
Their display to the public shows how they have been integrated into the daily lives of the faithful, sometimes with very different religious traditions, along a didactic path.
Their restoration and the techniques used to produce them are also highlighted, and a documentation area is available on the subject.

LOCAtion
The museum si located 5 minutes’ walk from Charleroi-Central station.
You can reach it by metro lines 1-2-3-4, Sambre stop.
Pay car park, no reservation required, ni the basement of the Rive Gauche shopping centre or at the museum, but must be booked in advance.
